We’ve scheduled a meeting for March 15th at 10am in Morgan Hill.

This proposal will outline what you can expect to walk away from after that meeting.

  1. Audio Recording Software – the application Audacity will be installed and configured on your computer.  It will be updated to give you the ability to export audio files in an MP3 and WAV format (both compatible with online podcast systems).  It’s assumed you have Windows Operating system.  If using a mac, we may choose a different application.
  2. Training – During our meeting, we will walk through the basic functions of Audacity and video recording in which you’ll learn how to:
    1. Record audio from the computer
    2. Edit portions of the audio to cut unwanted components, or insert a new recording element
    3. Export the recording in an MP3 Podcast format
    4. Identify attributes of MP3 file for systems like Itunes to identify the Author, Title, and Compilation (or Product).
    5. Record video from computer webcam and external microphone through YouTube, and post on Youtube (with a public or private setting)
    6. The entire session will be recorded for future playback by members of your company
    7. Web based delivery platform – creating audio files does not imply distribution.  Methods of distribution include email, file transfer (FTP), physical storage (CD, thumb drive), or web based distribution.  Audio files are generally too large to transfer via email.  Inability to distribute audio is the number one reason companies fail to use this medium.  Web based distribution, allows a simple email of a link to recipients, where they can play the audio file directly from a web site (no software installation to play).  To facilitate this, the following will be created:
      1. Single Page WordPress Website under domain http://logmodctr.com/a-jdsginc .
      2. It’s possible to assign any domain this website (we can discuss this further if you’re interested in it).
      3. Capability to create unlimited private pages that are accessible through a link for each page you create.  This link can be made public through email, posting it on your website, etc…  Here is an example of a private link on my company site:  http://logmodctr.com/generalinfo/jdsg-proposal/
      4. Special feature for Podcast publication
      5. Special feature for video publication with You-Tube integration
      6. One year of hosting – $84 per year afterwards unless transferred to your own hosting
      7. Video Tutorials – Three 2-3 minute web based tutorials for:
        1. Creating a recording
        2. Editing a recording
        3. Exporting a recording
        4. Creating a private page in WordPress for video or audio distribution

I think with these four elements, you’ll be able to be extremely productive in HI.  I was hesitant on including item 3 above in order to keep costs low.  By keeping the web portal page simple and loading it on my system, the impact to the total price is minimal and you’ll find it invaluable;  I have no hesitation in saying that.  If you choose to use WordPress as the platform for you new site, your web developer will be able to transfer your podcasts and videos over, or we can support you in that effort when the time comes.

This high volume of training is something that most clients couldn’t handle in the amount of time we’ll be together.  I know that you aren’t one to dilly dally around the mundane details, and will be able to get direct to the point.

I’ve priced this effort, including the meeting time, at $375
